4 Instagram Tricks You Probably Didn’t Know

Instagram has an ocean of pictures of all the things that occupy us in our everyday. You probably also use the app for daily inspiration, but do you know all its smart features? Read blow to learn my top four Instagram tricks you (probably) didn’t know.

1. Get notifications when your favorite profiles post an image

Do you sometimes feel you are drowning in images when you open Instagram? And do you follow so many that you miss out on important posts? Fortunately, Instagram has a feature that sends a notification when your favorite Instagrammer post an image.

Here’s how you do it:

  1. Visit the profile from which you want notifications
  2. Touch the three dots in the upper right corner
  3. Select “Turn listing notifications on”

2. View all the posts you’ve liked

You’re sure about it: you’re scrolling through your feed, like and posting here and there, and especially one picture gets stuck in your thoughts – unfortunately, you can not even remember who posted it. Instagram saves your likes so you can always go back and do the things that you previously gave little thoughts.

Here’s how you do it:

  1. Go to your profile
  2. Touch the three dots in the top right corner
  3. Chose to see your likes

3. Let your Stories hang for more than 24 hours

Some Instagram Stories are just too good to be visible for only 24 hours. Instagram’s “Highlights in Stories” feature allows you to save Stories to your profile – until you decide to delete them.

Here’s how you do it:

  1. Go to your profile
  2. Touch “Highlights in Stories” under your profile text
  3. Press +
  4. Select the stories you want to collect in an album
  5. Give the album a cover photo and a name

4. Insert line breaks in your biography and text

When writing texts for your postings, your keyboard does not always allow line breaks. The same goes for your movie text. You’ve probably seen that other profiles have line breaks, and it’s also possible for you.

Here’s how you do it:

  1. Go to your biography text or a post
  2. Press the “123” key on your keyboard
  3. Now the “return” button shows up and you can make line breaks
